Hi, I’m Amer

I’m a portrait photographer based in Frisco, and I work with high school seniors, families, couples, individuals, and businesses. To me, a portrait is more than a beautiful picture. A good one captures your best self, boosts your confidence, and leaves you feeling proud, seen, and ready to take on your goals. That’s the kind of portrait I love making with you.

At home, I’m a devoted husband and dad. We’ve been married for 15 years and have two amazing boys. When I’m not behind the camera or in front of a keyboard, I’m usually at one of my kids’ games, out on a hiking trail, or learning to sail. Being a family man, I love serving other families, and I understand how important it is to create not just beautiful photos, but an experience you and your kids will remember. I try to make the whole thing easy and fun, so you and your kids leave feeling prouder and more joyful.

By day, I’m a software engineer. Photography and programming may look different, but they go hand in hand. The engineering side has taught me attention to detail, planning, and how to handle the unexpected. That day job also means I can pursue photography without compromising my vision or shooting just for a paycheck. Both are creative in their own way, just from opposite sides of my brain.

I love the outdoors, meeting new people, and being in the water. Picking up underwater photography was when everything clicked. There’s something about being underwater that’s quiet and perfectly peaceful. Today, I’m one of the few photographers in North Texas doing underwater portrait sessions.

Why I do this

Whether you’re a high school senior, a college grad, an athlete, a couple, a family, or a founder building something, I want you to leave the session believing in yourself a little more than when you showed up. That’s what good portraits do, and it’s why I keep doing this.

What a session with me looks like

#

Every session is fully guided. Senior, college grad, athlete, creative building a portfolio, or someone who just wants bold portraits: I’ll help you plan outfits, pick the right location, and walk you through every pose.

Park at golden hour, downtown alley with studio lighting, a pool for an underwater set. Wherever we end up, I want you to feel confident and have a genuinely good time.

Being part of Professional Photographers of America keeps me sharp. Continuing education with photographers I respect, a code of conduct I sign every year, and full liability insurance, with a certificate ready for any venue, school, or pool that asks for one. I’m also a member of Dallas PPA, the local chapter, which is where a lot of that community actually happens.
