Family photos shouldn’t feel like a chore. I’m based in Frisco and I keep sessions relaxed, so what you get back is everyone actually laughing, not the say-cheese face. Any age works, from babies to grandparents. Toddlers get to run around between frames, since nobody that age holds a pose for long and I don’t plan around it. The Binod family further down this page brought a one-year-old and it went great. I’ll guide you through the whole thing so everyone looks good and nobody dreads it.

Three ways to book
#

  • Holiday mini, $150. 20 minutes on one of my November mini days, at a spot I pick. You get 15-25 lightly edited photos, plenty for the card, and retouching is $15 a photo if you want it.
  • Quick session, $250. 30 minutes, your date, your spot, one look. You get 25-40 lightly edited photos and pick 5 for full retouching.
  • Full session, $400. 60 minutes, room for an outfit change and a mix of group and solo shots. You get 40-80 lightly edited photos and pick 10 for full retouching.

All three include up to 5 people. Groups of 6 to 10 are $50 extra.

Holiday photos
#

November is when everyone wants the card photo, and the light cooperates: golden hour starts around 4 PM once the clocks fall back, so nobody’s up past bedtime.

That’s what the mini days are for. I pick a spot and a couple of November evenings, then run 20-minute slots back to back through golden hour. You grab a slot, show up, and you’re done before dinner. Message me and I’ll send this year’s dates.

Shoot by November 30, mini or not, and your gallery is back by December 10, in time to order cards. Retouched photos make it by then too if your picks reach me within a couple of days.

  4. Shoot: Relaxed session with easy direction that keeps everyone comfortable
  5. Gallery: Every good frame lands in your private gallery within 7-14 days. Pick the ones you want retouched and I do those next

Things people ask

Which session should we book?
Just need the card photo? Grab a holiday mini ($150). It’s 20 minutes on one of my November mini days, at a spot I’ve already picked. Want your own date and location? The 30-minute quick session ($250) gets you that, plus more photos and your 5 favorites fully retouched. Go with the full hour ($400) if you want an outfit change, a mix of group shots and solo frames, or just more room to relax into it. Little kids usually run out of patience around the 30-minute mark anyway.
Will we get our photos in time for holiday cards?
Yes, if we shoot by November 30. That includes every holiday mini. Your whole gallery will be back by December 10, retouched photos too, as long as you send me your picks within a couple of days. That leaves time to order cards. November weekends fill up fast, so don’t wait on this one.
How many people can come?
Up to 5 people is included. Bringing grandparents, cousins, or the whole crew? Groups of 6 to 10 are $50 extra, because it takes more time to get everyone looking good in the same frame. Bigger than that, message me and we’ll figure it out.
Do you photograph toddlers and babies?
Yes, any age. A few things make it easier: book around nap time, not right before it, bring snacks and one favorite toy (for bribes, not for the photos), and don’t stress if somebody melts down for five minutes. We wait it out, and the best frames often come right after.
What if my teen/tween doesn't want to be there?
Super common. I keep things chill and low-pressure, and most kids loosen up pretty quick once we get going. No awkward forced posing. Just natural moments that even the camera-shy ones end up liking.
Where do you shoot?
Outdoors around Frisco and North Texas. For families my go-tos are Frisco Commons and Frisco Central Park: open fields for running around, and shade when somebody needs a break. Adriatica Village in McKinney if you want something more dressed up, or your own backyard or neighborhood. I’ll suggest a spot once I know your crew, and the rest are in my Frisco locations guide.
What time of day do family sessions happen?
Usually the last 90 minutes before sunset. The light is soft, nobody’s squinting, and it’s a few degrees cooler. In Frisco that means starting around 7 PM in June and July, and closer to 4 PM once the clocks fall back in November. Summer start too close to bedtime for your little ones? We can go a bit earlier at a park with good shade. Sunset times for every month are in my Frisco locations guide.
What should we wear?
I’ll send outfit coordination tips after you book. General rule: stick to 2-3 complementary colors, avoid matching exactly, and keep it comfortable.
Can we bring our dog?
Absolutely. Pets are welcome and usually make the session even more fun.
How far in advance should we book?
1-3 weeks out is usually plenty. Openings each month are limited though, and November is the busiest month for families, so if you’ve got a specific weekend in mind, grab it early.
Do you do maternity or newborn photos?
Maternity, yes. It books like any other session, quick or full, same prices, and your partner and older kids are welcome to jump in. Newborn sessions I don’t offer, so for those first few weeks you’ll want a newborn specialist. After that, babies are welcome in a family session like anyone else.
Got a senior or college grad in the family?
We can sneak a few solo frames into the session, but if a senior or grad is the main reason you’re booking, the senior & graduation portraits page is usually the better starting point. Same DFW area, focused on them.
Can we keep our kids' photos off the internet?
Yes, and you don’t have to explain why. My default is that I post a few frames I love, so tell me not to and nothing from your session goes up. If something’s already posted, ask and I take it down. Signing a release doesn’t change that.
