Yes, $100 for a regular session, and nothing goes on my calendar until it’s paid. It comes off your session price, so it’s not an extra charge, and one fee covers both dates of the underwater + land combo. Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay all work. TFP shoots are free, and portfolio-call rates are paid in full up front instead.

For seniors and families, 1-3 weeks out is the sweet spot. Underwater takes more planning so the earlier we start, the better. I only book a limited number of sessions each month, so popular weekends tend to go first.

Nope! Frisco is home base, but sessions happen all across North Texas: Plano, Prosper, McKinney, Little Elm, The Colony, Allen, Dallas, and beyond. Travel outside the area may have a small additional fee.

Not quite, and that’s on purpose. I keep the calendar small so every session gets my full attention instead of being a factory-line shoot.

Yes. I work with individuals, couples, families, creatives, actors, artists, personal brands, and anyone drawn to bold portraits. Same session quality, tailored to what you need. Start at the portrait sessions page if none of the other categories fit you.

Give me more than 24 hours and it’s no big deal. You get your $100 booking fee back, or it moves to a new date, your pick. Inside 24 hours the fee is non-refundable and the date stays put, unless something truly comes out of nowhere, like getting sick that morning or a family emergency. Then we just find a new date. If I’m the one calling it off for weather, you get the same choice as with 24 hours’ notice: money back or a new date. One more thing: if we booked a studio or paid location, you may need to cover any cancellation fee they charge me. I’ll always tell you that before booking anything paid.

Every land session is a flat $250: portrait, senior, grad, athlete, brand, and family. The signature underwater session is $750, and pairing underwater with a land session is $900. All sessions come with professional editing and retouching, digital delivery via an online gallery, and a pre-session planning call so you show up feeling confident.

Just ask. I’m not trying to nickel and dime anyone, so most of what people want I can work into the session without changing the price. If it turns into a much bigger production, we’ll sort out pricing together before we book.

Yes. Print packages are available on request. Just ask after you get your gallery back.

Way more chill than you’d expect. There’s guided posing the whole time so you’re never just standing there awkwardly. Most people end up having a lot of fun. The vibe is relaxed, not stiff.

Typically 7-14 days. You’ll get a link to your online gallery where you can view, download, and share.

Wear something that makes you feel like you. Bold colors and layers work great for outdoor sessions. For families, pick 2-3 complementary colors (not matching outfits). Underwater? Flowy fabrics that move in the water. For creative sessions, if it matters to you, bring it.

Yes. Outdoor sessions include one outfit change. Underwater sessions allow 1-2 outfits. If you want more variety, reach out and we’ll shape it together.

For sure. A friend on the sidelines makes the whole thing more fun, and the expressions get way more natural.

Of course. We can grab a few family frames at the end of the session. Those tend to end up being favorites.

Yes. We can include cap and gown shots as part of your session. Bring your cap, gown, stole, cords, whatever you’ve got.

A $100 booking fee holds the date, and it’s part of the price, not extra. You’ll know exactly what’s happening at every step.

Yes, and I ask that a parent or guardian stays for the entire senior session. You don’t have to be in frame (most parents hang back and watch), but I want an adult there start to finish. We can grab a few family frames at the end too if you want.

Yes. I work with college students and recent graduates from UNT, UT Dallas, SMU, TCU, Collin College, Texas Woman’s University, Dallas Baptist University, and schools across DFW. Same session, whether you’re mid-degree or a few years past it.

Absolutely. Bring your cap, gown, stole, cords, honor cords, whatever you’ve earned. We can shoot at a campus, a park, or any location that fits the look you want.

Yes. I’ve shot across DFW campuses and I’m happy to meet you at yours. Some campuses require a permit for professional photography so we’ll figure that out during planning.

Not even close. Plenty of people book graduation portraits months after they finish. If you’ve got the cap and gown, we’re good to go.

Yes. On-location shoots with professional lighting are no problem. I come to your field, gym, or training facility.

Yep. Clean, sharp headshots and action-style portraits that are ready for recruiting profiles and highlight reels.

Yes. Custom team pricing is available. Reach out through the contact page and we’ll put together a package.

Please do. Jerseys, cleats, bats, balls, helmets. Whatever represents your sport. It all adds to the final look.

Only when it’s live. My insurance excludes coverage of rodeo, horseback riding, motorsports, climbing, skateboarding, skiing and snowboarding, bike jumping, water sports, and combat sports like wrestling, boxing and martial arts. Portrait sessions with athletes in any of those sports are still fair game. It’s the event itself I can’t be at. If your sport isn’t listed, ask and I’ll check.

You just need to be comfortable being in the water. There’s a full safety briefing before every session and you’re always in control.

In a private backyard pool, mine or yours. It’s a controlled, comfortable environment.

Very. Safety is the top priority. Every session starts with a briefing, and you set the pace. If you need a break, you take a break. No pressure.

No. Pools only, where you can stand up and the wall is right there. No tanks, no snorkels, no open water. Part of that is safety and part of it is insurance, which rules out scuba and open water outright.

Totally normal, especially with teens and tweens. I keep things low-key and give easy direction so nobody feels put on the spot. Most kids warm up fast once they see it’s not a stiff, traditional shoot.

Please bring your dog. Pets make family sessions way more fun and the photos way more memorable.

Family sessions work best with older kids who can have fun with some light direction. I keep groups to 5 people max so everyone gets great coverage.

Probably, unless you say otherwise. I post work I like, and that’s most of how people find me. If you’d rather your session stayed off my site and my socials, tell me and it does. Before, after, whenever. It’s free and I won’t ask why.

Yes, any time. A signed release doesn’t lock you in. Text or email me and the photos come off my site and my socials, usually same day, and you don’t owe me a reason.

You do, as the parent or guardian, and you can change your mind whenever. Plenty of parents are rethinking what they want online right now. I’d rather hear it from you than have you sit on it.

It comes off amerkhalid.com, off Instagram, off anywhere else I’ve put it, and I don’t publish it again. What it isn’t is a delete. The files stay archived on my computer like any photographer’s, and I might still show a print in person. A repost somebody else already made is out of my hands too, so earlier is easier.

Different deal. Those are free or way discounted because the photos going up is the point. If one shot really bothers you, ask and I’ll almost always pull it. If it’s someone taking a cheap session and then wanting the whole set gone, I can say no.
